Besides touring and private event work, Vanessa performs steadily in New York. Current standing gigs include Pierre’s in Bridgehampton, NY, and at Opia Lounge in Manhattan. Past engagements have included Tavern on the Green, The Bubble Lounge, The Screening Room, Café Deville, Torch, The Grand Havana Room, Cibar, Metronome, and The Mansfield Hotel "M" Bar. Festivals include Musikfest in Bethlehem, PA in 2007, and the Old Westbury Summer Concert Series on Long Island in 2007 and 2008.
Vanessa Trouble has been singing and producing shows with numerous artists for over a decade. Residing in New York City she has honed her vocal and performance skills all over the country and abroad, fronting various jazz ensembles in New York, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Atlanta, New Orleans, London, Paris, Ireland, Norway and Asia. In the summer of 2008, Vanessa was the opening and headlining artist in the Four Seasons Hotel at the Diplomat Lounge, as well as performing regularly at the Venetian Hotel & Casino in Macao, China, for a three-month engagement.
Vanessa and her band most recently capped her long and storied career entertaining Jennifer Lopez and friends for the star’s 40th birthday celebration in July, 2009. The combination of her New York and Los Angeles zip codes, her voice, and her reputation as an engaging and accessible vocal artist have given her an entrée to high profile events, performing for politicos, celebrities and business moguls. Empire Entertainment has produced some of the events and parties that have included performances for Bill Gates, Clark Terry, Dana Carvey, Penny Marshall, Quincy Jones, Colin Cowie, Melissa Etheridge, Tom Selleck, Ron Perelman, Sheldon Adelson and former New York Governor, George Pataki.

Vanessa has put together bands and provided entertainment for the Annual Fleet Week Gala ‘04 aboard the Intrepid Museum in New York City She has an impressive list of corporate clients as well, among them The Walt Disney Company, Honeywell, Calvin Klein, American Express, Lancôme, SL Green, David Yurman and Microsoft. She has performed in well know venues including The Carlyle Hotel, The Rainbow Room, and The New York Stock Exchange.
CD’s include The Summer Sessions, (1999) and Too Darn Hot (2004) She currently fronts a swing band, The Central Park Stompers and sings regularly with notable guitarists Nick Demopoulos and Mark McCarron, bassists Peter Martin Weiss and Andrew Hall, pianists Don Stein and Michael Kanan and trumpet virtuoso Charlie Caranicas.

Educational and children’s ventures extend to concerts at New York public schools, and she has lent her voice to Nickelodeon’s popular children’s show Blue’s Clues, singing the original song Day Turns Into Night.
